For the famed Blue Bar at The Berkeley Hotel, we had the privilege of collaborating with acclaimed designer David Collins, a visionary known for his transformative approach to interiors. Collins infused the space with his signature ‘Lutyens Blue’ color scheme, a bold choice that has since become the bar’s defining feature. This iconic shade envelops the room, creating an ambiance that is both dramatic and inviting, setting a luxurious backdrop for a truly unique bar experience in London’s high-end hospitality scene.
To bring Collins’ vision to life, we contributed a custom leather flooring solution that would complement the color theme while adding depth and texture to the space. We installed a specially crafted leather floor in a deep blue croc print, tailored to enhance the bar’s sophisticated yet contemporary design. The croc print provides a subtle pattern that is eye catching but doesn’t overpower, offering an ideal balance that works harmoniously with the bold color palette.
The result is a floor that not only supports the room’s overall aesthetic but also adds a tactile layer to the bar’s unique vibe. This custom flooring elevates the bar’s atmosphere, making it feel fresh and chic while retaining a sense of refined luxury.
