We had the pleasure of working on the Peoples Place for Tommy Hilfiger in Amsterdam, which was created in partnership with the company’s art director and Marc Prosman Architects. With natural materials and tones establishing the mood, the project sought to create an environment that was immediately recognisable and comfortable. By creating pleated, stitched, and buttoned banquette seating, which served as a focal point of the venue’s design, our meticulous craftsmanship was important in attaining this style.
Vesuvius leather, a premium full aniline leather renowned for its oil finish and silky grain, was utilised for this project. It offers a rich tactile experience in addition to durability. The leather acquires a lovely patina with time, adding to the room’s timeless appeal and cosiness. We created handmade bar stools with intricate stitching and padding to go well with the overall style and provide extra comfort in addition to the banquette seating.
Warm hues and our superb leatherwork helped realise the idea of a comfortable, familiar space, mixing in perfectly with the reclaimed wood floors, velvet drapes, and brick walls in the industrial style that characterises Peoples Place’s welcoming ambience.
